DATA SHARING GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK
Introduction
All data collected and used by La Vitrine helps to support its mission:
La Vitrine actively promotes and highlights Québec’s cultural offer to allow people to actively discover and enjoy its vibrant cultural citizenship. In partnership with other cultural stakeholders, La Vitrine employs digital devices for the purposes of data management and valorization, discoverability, personalization and interactivity to support the cultural offer, better understand cultural behaviour and develop target audiences.
In general
You may use hyperlinks to share content on La Vitrine. Including hyperlinks to the pages of La Vitrine’s digital space on your own pages or Internet sites or when using social media is authorized.
Updating content on La Vitrine’s digital space is unauthorized without prior consent.
Authorization may be granted in one of the following ways:
If you are a partner organization of La Vitrine, such as a ticket office, performance hall or an industry organization, a specific contractual agreement may be drawn up with you (several agreements of this nature already exist). Please contact us at [email protected] if you are interested in signing one.
If you are a cultural industry professional and member of the La Vitrine Pro Zone, you may use shared and anonymized data for business intelligence purposes. Specific terms of use exist and must be accepted upon subscribing to the service.

Supports the common good of our creators, citizens and community
As a non-profit organization, our mission is to maximize visibility and awareness as well as encourage people to take advantage of cultural experiences.
Our goal is to support the positive impact this can have on our creators and artists, citizens and community. All data collected, shared and promoted by La Vitrine supports this mission.
Protects right to privacy
La Vitrine agrees to act in compliance with the highest norms and standards in protecting personal data and the best data governance principles, standards and practices recognized in Québec and around the world.
Respects intellectual property of creators
La Vitrine agrees to respect the intellectual property of creators and organizations.
Sharing certain types of data, such as photos or videos, for example, may be restricted in order to protect rights holders.
Upholds universal access
La Vitrine agrees to use data to serve the community and the public. To ensure this, it uses open science and data sharing whenever possible and when it does not conflict with the three above-mentioned principles.
