Musée d'art de Joliette
The mission of the Musée d'art de Joliette is to acquire, conserve, promote and disseminate historic and contemporary works by Quebec, Canadian and foreign artists, through exhibitions and cultural and educational activities.
Today, the Musée d'art de Joliette's collection comprises 8,500 works in 4 collections: Canadian art, European art, contemporary art and archaeology. The Musée's acquisition and documentation policy, as well as its many collaborations with other institutions in Quebec, Canada and abroad, enable it to achieve its collection conservation objectives and remain extremely dynamic in terms of research.
Aimed at audiences of all ages, the Musée d'art de Joliette's actions are part of a cultural democratization process designed to make emerging knowledge in the visual arts accessible.
