Rau_Ze - Virer nos vies

Grand winner of the Francouvertes 2022, the R&B and neo-soul sound band draws its originality from the variety of its influences: from jazz to Y2K pop through hip-hop, neo-soul, funk and trip-hop. They approach the daily life and its meanders with an authentic vocabulary and the goal of offering a corrosive music, but irresistibly dancing, deep and engaged. On stage, they can be heard accompanied by Henri Bouchard (bass), Juan Espitia (drums) and Julien Fillion (saxophone). Their performances are distinguished by the deep complicity of the instrumentalists and the versatility of Rose’s vocal interpretations. His performances immerse the audience in a delicate balance between mild bitterness and cathartic explosions.   Rau_Ze has performed nearly 40 times, including at the Francos de Montréal and Festif! from Baie-St-Paul or Coup de coeur francophone, in addition to sharing the stage with Ariane Roy and Les Louanges. After collaborations with Luis Clavis (Valaire, Qualité Motel) and LaF, Rau_Ze presents its first original pieces in 2023 with the record company 117 Records and the management company Happy Life. “L’Habitude” and “Pas la peine” are released in the fall and quickly make it into the charts with more than 400 k listens, a stint at Plaza Plaisir on Télé-Québec and a 4th position at Spotify Canada 2023’s RADAR Artists to watch. Taking our lives, Rau_Ze’s first album has been available everywhere since March 29, 2024.
