Inspired freely by the materials and creatures of the coastline and oceans, Soudain les îles is a wordless solo that unfolds a sensory puppet universe both strange and familiar.
The result of an encounter between Les Incomplètes and interdisciplinary artist Laurence Petitpas, the show evokes themes of flight, solitude and refuge. Islands become metaphors for our inner territories, imaginary and emotional spaces that nourish our creativity.
Playing on the principles of appearance and disappearance, construction and destruction, Soudain les îles draws possible worlds and highlights the power of the creative gesture that resides in every human being, from infancy onwards.
