Originally from Shigawake in Gaspésie, Shaina Hayes grew up listening to singer-songwriters like Feist, Joni Mitchell and Regina Spektor, traditional country artists such as Hank Williams and Dolly Parton, and more modern ones like Shania Twain and The Chicks.
. A fascinating blend of ravishing vocals, warm melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, Shaina Hayes stands in the lineage of great folk-pop artists tinged with alt-country. After studying agricultural sciences, Shaina co-produced her first opus, to coax a waltz, which will be released in April 2022. On the stage of the Théâtre du Vieux-La Prairie, she will offer you the refreshing and captivating songs from her second album Kindergarten Heart, launched in February 2024. It’s a date!
