Constantinople - Souffles
More dates
This program brings together three captivating musical traditions, rooted in the essence of breath—the vital force connecting all cultures and peoples.
The songs and drums of the Mi'kmaq, the invocations of Inuit throat singing, and the evocative sounds of the musicians of Constantinople unite in a concert celebrating the power of breath in music. Darlene Gijuminag and Celina Kalluk, inheritors of living Indigenous traditions inspired by nature's sounds, engage in a timeless musical dialogue with the virtuosos of Constantinople, immersing us in the richness of ancestral music.
