Jin Heewoong
Jin Heewoong is a Korean visual artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal.
He has experimented with different processes of discovering combinations of various objects that can be found from our surroundings (e.g. found objects, ready-made, industrial material, etc.). By producing variations in arrangement of his objects, Jin’s work generates new meanings with them by creating order and/or chaos within his object combinations which often reveal the aesthetic elements inherent in the used objects. Recently, he started to expand his practice in video by combining personal text and footage that explores the subtle nuances of his experience of displacement.
